Finca Juan Martin is located in Colombia's Cauca region near the city of Popayán and is owned by Banexport. The farm serves as a research and experimental centre where different coffee varieties, cultivation methods, and processing techniques are tested to achieve the highest possible coffee quality. The knowledge gained is then shared with Banexport's partner farmers across Colombia, helping them continuously improve their specialty coffee production.
The Cauca region is renowned for its high elevations, volcanic soils, and cool climate, creating ideal conditions for coffees with a clean and elegant profile.
This lot was processed using the Oxidation Washed method, in which the coffee cherries undergo a short, controlled oxidation before the washed process begins. This technique enhances the coffee's natural sweetness, fruit character, and complexity while preserving its clean profile. The result is a balanced cup with notes of citrus, pear, and caramel.
