Jun Chiyabari is a young, yet highly respected tea garden in eastern Nepal, not far from the border with Indian Darjeeling. It was founded in the early 21st century and is situated at an altitude of over 1,600 meters, where the pure mountain air, cool nights, and abundant rainfall create an ideal environment for cultivating tea of exceptional quality.
The plantation is renowned for its ecological and biodynamic approach – the tea plants grow among fruit trees and wild vegetation, which supports natural biodiversity. This sustainable method of cultivation is reflected in the character of the tea, which is pure, authentic, and respects the natural rhythm of nature.
Hand-picked leaves are carefully sorted and undergo controlled oxidation, thanks to which teas from Jun Chiyabari often resemble Darjeeling teas. Unlike them, however, they retain their own unmistakable character. In the cup, they create a full, elegant infusion with a delicate floral aroma, sweet honeyed tones, and a lightly spiced aftertaste.
